    Game Burning Problem.

    Hi all,
With the help of this forum I finally got round to flashing my 360. It all went fine, was easy to do. I was looking forward to playing Borderlands. Burnt a copy, put it in and nothing. I figure it was because I was using rubbish discs so got some verbatims and the same happened again. Decided to try a different game but same thing.

I have ran the disc and the iso through abgx and they are fine, I have the layer break etc and am using IMGBurn. I have tested someone elses backups and they play fine in my console so I have no idea what the problem is.

I don't know if this helps but after I have finished burning the disc this is the info I get on IMGBurn:

Does that all look right or am I doing something wrong?
Am I needing a new burner? if so is this one any good:

Any help anyone can give here is very much appreciated, so much I want to play but just haven't been able to!

    Thanks for reading!

Your drive on the xbox needs updated to play Wav 3+ Games.

Update to the latest firmware and you will have no problems. The Cheap discs are fine.

Use IMGburn and be sure to set layer break properly.

That said if you run through Abgx then then that creates .dvd file which will create layer break before burning.

Strange. So it plays other discs but not the ones you do? And when you burn you get complete burn?

Maybe the writer but if the writer had issues it would fall over during burning.

Yeah, it plays discs that I dont copy but my own ones dont work. I get a complete write and verify from IMGBurn but the xbox just wont load them. It just says reading then open tray. I was hoping that maybe I was just doing something wrong and that the info from IMGBurn would show the problem, it has me really puzzled.

EDIT: Is my book type and everything ok up there? (That info is from a copy of Red Dead Redemption)

update the firmware for your dvd writer, it might make it burn properly, also I've noticed people with bd rom / dvd writer combination drives tend to have problems burning 360 games.
try the verbs on someone elses writer, if they burn right and play then it is your writer, either not compatable with the media or on its way out.

Thanks for the help. The firmware is apparently the most recent. Think i'm gonna need a new drive then :S.

i'll give that LG one a shot!

                  Thanks again.

try a burning tool called clone cd its much better than img burn. you can get it for free on the pirate bay.

i had terrible problems with img burn and switched to clone cd and it works a treat.

How is ABGX configured? Ensure that SSv2 is the prefered SS version.
Also check for split video in the options, the LT firmware reuires split video.

As some backups are working that you have not burnt, i think it is something to do with your setup, not the xbox itself

I have Trust SSv2 Angles ticked and SplitVid says leave it the way it is. Is that ok?

Definatley not the xbox as thats all working fine.

If ABGX is all configured fine I will try CloneCD. I would really prefer not to buy a dvd writer if the one I have is good enough.

Thanks for all the help so far!

                          Ok how to configure ABGX.

                          Open ABGX
Goto options tab. You will want a tick in the following :

                          Check/Create .dvd file
                          Check Stealth
                          Verify if stealth passes
                          Check/fix video padding
                          Check for anyDVD corruption
                          Check For updates
                          Check game partitions

                          Now goto auto fix

Choose level 3 and just leave a tick out of adjust ssv1 angle for 359

                          Goto misc tab

                          Select console region
On split dvd, choose add if does not exist or is invalid.

Then goto file and save settings. Check the burnt game/.iso and post back what it finds.

Also forgot to mention that wave 3 games + SHOULD be SSv2. You can manually patch your games prior to burning.
