yes mate u need the key from the knackered drive to put into the hitachi drive, then spoof the new drive as Benq or liteon whichever 1 it was

You will need a compatible chipset to read the drive. I use a via sata card which works with all drives. How are you connecting the drive to PC?

ok so ive finally got jf.. to find the drive it displays all drive properties ect ect.. now how do i get the key of it?

i get this meassge when i click on read are dvd32 to try and extract the key??

Tell me what it says in the left hand box. What drive is it. You need to intro device.

Invalid status 51. You need to intro device and power the drive on and off within 1 second. It tells you what to do as you go along.
