Play Ap2.5 Games On Any Drive

FOR OLDER DASHBOARD ONLY(pre-kinect update).

THIS METHOD IS PREFERABLY FOR PREVIOUSLY BANNED BOXES OR PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO INTENTION OF USING LIVE

This exploit will allow to play AP2.5 games.
It's an ordered sequence of 3 updates to the kinect dash from the Kinect games. So it's safe, and it results in installing kinect with no AP2.5

Download these 3 files in order.

Kinect Adventures Update MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

Kinect Animals Update MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

Kinect Update (it's the update from Assassin's Creed Brotherhood)) MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service


1) Unzip the file UPDATE-KINECT-ADVENTURES.rar, place it on a pendrive formatted in FAT32, place it on the console and turn on.
The new dashboard will be the 2.0.12413.0

2) 2-Delete the above folder from the pendrive.
Unzip the second file UPDATE-KINECT-ANIMALS.rar and copy the system update to the pendrive. Place in console and turn on.
The new dashboard will be the 2.0.12416.0

3) Delete the above folder from the pendrive.
Unzip the KINECT UPDATE and copy the system update to the pendrive. Place in console and turn on.

And that's it. You can play any game, old or new, AP2.5 and not.
And XVal still clean!

Daz, your talking about something you have little or no knowledge about. You have one side of the story, and not both, and how many times prior to this has C4 released free software?

It took MS 3/4 years to ban people by detecting fw. Now they cannot even detect LT, hence why they implemented ap2.5, to catch pirates.

Clearly you have copied and pasted this then, as you state your xval was clean, which would be impossible if your already banned.

This guide is useless imo, as 99% of people will upgrade to LT+ anyway.

Agreed with janobi on this, you try this at your own risk, LT+ will be the safest method. Have seen this posted on other forums, maybe handy for banned boxes with those who cant update own firmware, but, most will do it them self/pay someone to do it.

I personally would not use this for anything to do with live, market place or games. But you have to update to the latest dash anyway to connect to live, so you cant do it for live

How many times has C4eva uttered the words "My firmware isn't detectable" or "We don't see anything out of the ordinary" which is followed by a new and improved 'undetectable' firmware release.

To state that MS can't detect LT is a bit of a daft claim mate...you have absolutely no idea what they can or can't detect.

This release is useful for people with previously banned boxes who don't wanna shell out money to update the firmware.

Why wont you be able to update the firmware, a bit of reading, patience, and a little help and advice is all you will need unless soldering is required

Cronus, i dont think he meant to have a go, nor to question your intentions but the method is not a safe solution, be it C4e firmware has been detected in the past. There has been no evidence that the latest firmware is detectable, or the one before, the fact they have activation AP2.5 protection could be seen as a 'last chance to catch pirates' or they 'aint figured out a way to detect LT' But with that in mind, we have no idea what is detectable or not, we just follow the advice given to us from the hackers who make and test the firmware. The LT+ firmware had a few groups involved in it. Teams Jungle, Xecuter and ABGX and who knows what others behind the scene

The method in your post will be usfull for those who dont use live or on banned boxes, but if its not a banned box, they can run a risk of Ap2.5 violation = flag for a ban.

This can be usefull for those i stated, dont want to use live in the future or banned boxes, as always the choice is theirs

I know a little more than the average joe in fairness. I know someone who is involved in TJ, and deals with C4 and Xecuter, hence the information I posted.

All fw releases have been the result of a new wave release, except for LT which was due to the bans. However it still took 4 years for MS to be able to detect the drives, how much money was saved in that time? Surely enough to buy a new box. This is piracy after all. No guarantees offered. You pay your money you take your choice. Its that simple.

Look at it logically. If MS could detect LT, would it not be better to just ban everyone again, increasing hardware sales 10 fold due to new boxes being purchased. The majority of boxes available are slim, which currently have no hack, stopping the majority of pirates. AP2.5 must of cost quite a few quid to develop and implement, surely MS would not spend this money if they had an easier way of stopping pirates? AP2.5 has been present since 2008, so why wait 2 years to implement it?

None of us know how or what MS can detect, however no banhammer is a good indication that MS cannot detect the fw on the drive, as its virually a mirror of OFW.

Dont throw your toys out of the pram, because someone disagrees with your opinion daz. And what has me having a degree have to do with it? I read all I can, speak to people in the loop and make my own informed decisions and conclusions. Which I then try and share with others of like mind. Your post is/was helpful to some people, but you haven't included all the information, which is needed for an informed decision.
