Anyway its MW2 original he's trying and its still not working. Even if he is not signed into any profile.

Tried all things to boot orig. NO hard drive wont read disc. Not signed into profile wont read disc. Power off on wont read disc.

So to me it sounds like its embedded into the console itself not to allow the boot of any of these games if you have been found to be using a copy similar to when they added the corrupt HD after the ban.

Forgot to mention my Benq LT+ is spoofed as samsung so i assume thats why mines plays ok.

My other console Hitachi i wont be updating for now but im assuming that would work as well.

This report from softpedia confirms the January update has anti-piracy measures.

For those who haven't turned their Xbox on yet, I would avoid doing so, until further information can be found.

Good skillz by MS in keeping this release very very quiet.

Glad I choose to surf the net before turning my Xbox on this evening (which I didn't do last night, lucky!!)

Nonsonse. I could take a pic from last ban on console from anywhere on net and say look at this ive just been banned

Read what you see on forum for more precise info / people testing difeerent methods etc rather than reading crappy blog pages.

Some more reading around other forums indicate this isn't as bad as it may seem. People with LT+ that detects AP25 are probably ok. Games that are newly affected will probably just need re-burning when a patched version comes along.

I'll wait and see what c4eva come's back with however before turning mine on.

I love all the reading when something goes wrong with Xbox. All the COD fans unable to play theyre favourite game .
