moded 360 ok on live

if i get a moded xbox 360, is it safe to go on live wth it to do every thing a non moded box will do.. (with Backups)

Never any real answer for this. You take a risk when doing it but providing your backups are patched and you keep the firmware updasted then you will be as safe as the rest of the people doing it.

Yes most of the games have the updates on them.
Also you can update via USB.

sounds a little messy and not enough certancy involved with a moded box for me. i might give it a miss. i have a 250gig slim at the moment but wanted to play around with a moded...

I wouldnt mod the new slim console. I would purchase an older console and mod that. Just me though.

Nothing messy about it. Its actually quite a simple process once you get used to it.

Not being funny but if you buy 2 games this month then you couldve bought a xbox and flashed it.
Then never pay for a game for another X amount of months IF or till you get banned.
The maths does itself in what you save ?'s.

I have 3 modded boxes in my house and I also flash them.

I've had 2 xboxes in 4 or so years. It took me 3 years to get banned the first time. New box connects to live without problems, takes updates and been online with games without problems.

Just stealth your games properly and you will be fine. 99% of people with modified consoles go online.

No. Once banned you cannot connect to live. But thats it. You can still play all games without problems. There has not been any bans in 2 years, and the normal banning time is november, so your a while off from even contemplating the ban.
