the ms28 does not have the capability to run the AP25 checks that are one of the new ways MS detect your firmware (i know there is a new hacked firmware to protect from this check now for the other drives) - the thing is what new techniques will MS develop that use AP25

yup, LT+ covers against currently known AP25 checks

as the ms28 cant do any check based on AP25, a new firmware is not needed

reason i back the ms28 is because i have one and its been no problem what so ever, but yeah any samsung drive or some hitachi (i dont know which models) are 100% safe against AP25 as they cant do it basically

Yes

Yes you can m8 but not by just flashing the dvd drive, you have to jtag it which enables you to play homebrew games and apps and have custom dashes, just google xbox 360 jtag....

From earlier in the thread, the guy meant get a fat xbox that has the samsung drive already in it... NOT buy a samsung drive and spoof it into your xbox because it will try and read ap2.5 (tried And Tested)...

Any model potentially could, but its down to the dashboard, and not the actual console.
