hi guys got a problem with my internet connection to virgin there was a problem in the area which they have fixed but im still not getting a connection. when i take the splitter away and plug the modem into the wall directly it works so i replaced the spiltter and it still doesnt work... any ideas??

Could be the cable from the splitter going to modem not threaded properly. Try both cables coming off the splitter.sigpic

I suspect they have been doing cable management in the cab.. which is why there was downtime..
Ring them up, get them out.
The reason it works without the splitter is because the signal is weak. when the splitter is added it drops the signal further.. id suspect the signal is very poor in the first place for the splitter to knock it off..ich bin stolz ein deutscher zu sein.

I had exactly the same problem, High utilisation in the area they put it down to, Said the area problem was fixed but i still receiver problems, Vermin!
