upgrade vista to windows 7..........

    I use to use 4 gigs watch movies browses the internet and so-on but after the family ran their course on the computer 90% of ram would be all used up some programs don't like to let the memory go after you close them, so when it runs out computer becomes unstable and requires a reboot. But like u said it all depend on what you use it for if you can live with out all the bells and whistle in windows 7 then 2 is good enough.

      Your PC specification is adequate for Windows 7, particularly if it's really only ever going to be used for general purpose computing (web browsing, document editing etc). It's not going to be lightning quick but it's probably worth moving to Win 7 over XP simply because Microsoft have already ended their mainstream support, and extended support expires in a few years.

      My advice: take the plunge, 'acquire' Win7 by whatever means you are comfortable with and spend some time getting to know it. It's much better than Vista.
