    hi all my ip address shows 82.39.70.51 but i need something like 192.168 & so on for my dreambox how do i get the proper 1 as ive tried start run configip & it flashes up for about a second any help plz

    you need to find the ip of ur dm? what image u running?
    should be menu> setup> network.. ip addy should be there, also Dreambox control centre can scan for it, or got to your router homepage and look for attached devices

      Run an ethernet cable from your box to your router and it will assign you an ip address of 192.168.***.***

        cheers fellas got it from box im using it to set up recording to my comp from my dbox 500 but aint having 2 much luck but ive posted in there to carry it on ta

          Does your router assign your internal IP addresses via DHCP? I've seen this once before where it assigns an external IP address and then routes that, are you with Virgin for your internet by any chance?

            i assume it must have 2 ip address as in external & i sent from vermin. im with vermin media
