Which Printer to get?

Fair enough. Though it depends on what printer you have. Supposedly, I should have a 1952 page yield from one set of compatible ink. I think I paid like ?8.70 for 12 (so 3 sets) or ?2.90/pack bringing the cost per page to 0.15p per page. Cost of page is 0.8p, bringing the total cost of printing to: 0.94p/page
It's costing me less than a penny/page, with the paper costing the most amount of moneyComment

Im fortunate enough to do all my printing at work so cost per page is sweet FA...................I know you believe you understand what you think i said

I am not sure you realise that what you heard is not what i meant ! sigpicComment

Kodak's bankrupt? Also, Epson ink is very cheap. You really can't beat 66p/cartridge with 18ml of ink. Also, ideally you get a network printer, where you attach the printer via an ethernet cable on to your networkComment

Try hornsea inkjets, they sell a pack of 24 for the same price as refreshcartridges sell 8.
I have personally used them for last 3years, and never had a problem with the cartridges.Comment

Or buy from eBay, and get them even cheaper. You can get a pack of 15 inks, for around half the price of what you pay for 8 inks at hornsea.
I've always used eBay for my ink and they're very cheap. Also, T0715 is no longer used in new Epson printers btw. The new cartridges are T1285/T1295Last edited by waqasahmed; 12 May, 2012, 23:09.Comment

[QUOTE=waqasahmed;1549824]Try 18ml. Also, you realise that most original ink cartridges only have like 6ml of ink in them right?
Perhaps, though my Epson has done me good for a long time. I have two printers. One is an Epson SX600FW which takes T0715 ink and another is a SX435W which takes T1285/T1295 ink
For the SX600FW, you can get ink under ?6, and the SX435 you can get ink for under ?9. The ?9 ink is actually more cost efficient, because the yield is around double of what you'd get from T0715 ink.
T0715 ink:
12 COMPATIBLE EPSON INK CARTRIDGES FOR STYLUS DX8450 DX4050 DX6000 D78 PRINTERS | eBay
Possibly cheaper, but no mention of how much ink is included:
12 INK CARTRIDGES FOR STYLUS SX 400 405 410 PRINTER | eBay
T1285/T1295 ink:
12 Inks For S22 SX230 SX235W SX430W SX438W SX438 SX445w T1281 T1282 T1283 T1284 | eBay
The above only have inks, with the colour inks having 13ml inside, and the black ink with 15ml, making the slightly more expensive one below a better buy
This works out cheaper than the first link:
10PK COMPATIBLE T1291 T1292 T1293 T1294 INK CARTRIDGES FOR EPSON STYLUS PRINTER | eBay
Because there is more ink inside. I tend to print a sheet of that has four blocks of colour once a month, to stop the ink from drying and clogging up. Costs like 1p/month to keep the printer functional
You can get T1285 ink with 18ml in each, but atm they're not as cost efficient as the ten pack with 17ml
This is a good buy for under ?50:

This is complete crap as Epson run a system call Piezo System Which mesures every bit of ink what comes out So just say epson do a cartridge for example T071140 Black from the Cheetah range and this cart has seven mls of ink in it when the 7 mls of ink is finished you will get a message replace ink black out!! then say you buy a compatible T071140 black ink which has 15 mls of ink in. when the cartridge has used 7ml of ink the printer will say that you need to replace but you will still have 8 mls of ink in it. so you never get more than the max cap the OEM supplier lets you have for that machine. Next time one of you buys an ink which says it has more than it should do i think it would be a good idea to weight it against and oem ink of the same code i bet my life it is about the same weight or that you still have half the ink left in it when it says its empty I also supply ink Remans and compatible but you are been lead up the garden path if you think you are getting more for your money!!Last edited by yasminandrio; 14 May, 2012, 13:25.Comment

Even if what you say is true, then yes it is cheaper to get the compatibles, and hence getting better value for money. I mean this works out to be around 66p/cartridge as opposed to ?10(+?) per cartridgeThis is complete crap as Epson run a system call Piezo System Which mesures every bit of ink what comes out So just say epson do a cartridge for example T071140 Black from the Cheetah range and this cart has seven mls of ink in it when the 7 mls of ink is finished you will get a message replace ink black out!! then say you buy a compatible T071140 black ink which has 15 mls of ink in. when the cartridge has used 7ml of ink the printer will say that you need to replace but you will still have 8 mls of ink in it. so you never get more than the max cap the OEM supplier lets you have for that machine. 15 INK CARTRIDGES FOR STYLUS SX235W SX130 SX125 SX445W SX435W S22 SX425W SX525WD | eBay
Also, there are people that sell chip resetters as well, and people who have CISS systems where they can see that they won't have any ink remainingLast edited by waqasahmed; 20 May, 2012, 18:54.Comment

Would highly recommend it. 5 year guarantee too!
Have this laser printer too - CLP-320 Colour Laser Printer - SAMSUNG UK - OVERVIEW
the Samsung CLP-320 is my favorite printer - just using the "N" aka "Network" version - good price and "brilliant" outputComment
