I'm probably in the minority here as I run my own domain at home and therefore have my own DNS server, as such I have a conditional forward-er setup for aljazeerasports.tv/.com which points to the OverPlay DNS servers. This basically sends ONLY aljazeerasports data via OverPlay, the rest of my traffic goes via ISP/Google.
This works without the need for VPN, on iPhone, iPad and my many PC's...
I had the same working for ADMC last year.
I understand you can do similar things with DD-WRT routers etc.
Whether or not the iOS App works via 3G or when I am elsewhere, time will tell!Leave a comment:

You will more than likely need to setup the Egyptian VPN on those devicesLeave a comment:

Just to add to this thread... I have got JSC working ok on my PC using smart DNS, but it refuses to work on my Vega Android tablet. It appears to be Geo-Blocked even after adding a VPN within the settings...Leave a comment:

I was going to go down this route but I changed my PC graphics card to one with HDMI output so I've not bothered with the iPad to HDMI route mate.. SorryLeave a comment:

Hi i am yet to buy the package because I'd like hdmi out (like ADMC last year) can anybody confirm if this works with the Al Jazeera sports app for iPad. All I a, getting is the screen as if it is loading on the external display it plays sound but sticks on that even if video is playing on iPad.
i would tend to agree about the channels moving to hd, if i go on my android version of the app the channels are listed, granted they all say hd 10. Actually since writing this just the team names are appearing but less than 10 minutes they all said hd10 mistake or sign on things to come? You can make your own minds up.
any info about hdmi out would be appreciatedLeave a comment:

I'd not worry though, I've been watching Al Jazeera Sports for a few years via satellite. They show matches on multiple channels, for example a UCL match between Barca & Bayern will be shown on +3, +7 and HD1. It'll be from Mecca on +3 in pure Arabic with Arabic halftime chat. On +7 it'll be from London in English with halftime chat from Garry Lineker, the HD1 feed will be in ArabicLeave a comment:

If they move the PL to HD channels I'll just upgrade, it'll cost about ?20 on top of the ?35 already spent. I've just halved my Sky package after my 1/2 price 12 months finished. If JSC costs me ?55 for a year for all packages with matches from the PL, UCL, EL, FA Cup, League Cup, International Matches, Serie A, La Liga & Ligue 1 then that is ?55 well spent
As for the iPad App DLINKLA you'll need to set up an new iTunes account from your iPad once you're behind an Egyptian VPN, you can then download it for freeLeave a comment:
