Hi all. I currently have an*acer aspire revo*3610 nettop with*windows 7. I want to install xp as dual boot for various reasons, so bought a*genuine xp installation*disk and coa and got out my portable dvd disk drive to install it.
I partitioned the hard drive to create a dual doot, stuck the disk in and all seemed to be going well.
Then about 5 minutes in it threw up aessage saying no hard drive detected so cannot carry on with install, and it rebooted.
So I did a quick google and discovered it's because xp has no sata hdd drivers, and the fix is to go into bios and change it to an ide hdd.
So I tried every combination of f keys (and a few f words) and everything else possible, but I couldn't get Into bios. Only boot sequence and recovery menu were available.
So question is, how do I get the sata drivers in there so it can install xp?
Bearing in mind the nettop only has usb ports and my external disk drive, no floppy disk.
Thanks for your help.
