i dont understand what the last to posts reffering to fomat it means? i have had limewire on my computer for a few years and never had any problems such as those that hit my laptop on saturday whilst on a football card collectors forum. i'm keen to delete limewire but i would just like to get the tracks off it first.

I dunno m8, we have all had viruses, clinic 6 sorted my std's out. But if I was in ANY doubt now.. I would ~~~~ it off. And especially for just a few music tracks...

format..the whole ~~~~in thing.. it just means wiping the hard drive..the best way and only real sure way of getting rid of viruses..regarding your music, if theyre on shitty limewire, then theyre available elsewhere

i was on the football card forum when the virus hit,some of the music tracks are older than me 50's and 60's etc like fats domino be my guest and the most recent the killers all these things ?(i got soul but i'm not a soldier)

pretty sure there is a requests page on here. You'd be able to get owt you wanted, but.... download malware anti malware bytes and scan your stick.. as gmb said earlier... update the malware database first...
and if no probs, drag your music mp3's??? off, then format it.

nah is it ~~~~ mate, easy to see why you would think that tho... scroung beg, borrow or steal a windows disc. that will format your hard drive for you and do a nice fresh install of windows..

Shady is right about the format... The only SURE way.. but you probably fine.
Limewire was always a coont with viruses, as were, and are a lot of other P2P's... box clever mate

i dont have the windows disc and i'm not starting nicking again i'm still banned from fenwicks and cloughs sweet shop! the computer with the limewire installed never caused me any problems it was just getting slower with lots of use after 7/8 years so i got the laptop last summer but i had avg on both which i thought was all i needed.

by the way it was 1 football card that paid for the laptop! i may know nothing about computers but i'm not daft.
