    1 how are you ripping you hd rips ????

    2 where are you going to keep them ??? hard drive ,nas or pc

    3 dont for get a blu-ray rip is any thing from 20 - 50 GB par movie if you now going to compress it

    4 have a look at the wd-live also the duna 101 and the 301s also the Acer Revo 3700's are very good but can take time to set up

      I will download most of the rips. I have a computer already built which I use for everything. I have Xbmc on it but it will be hard for me to get a hdmi cable from the loft to the main tv so I thought I could use a media extender on my network. But I want something to play 1080p films with decent audio via my surround amp
