    Laptop won't turn on

    Hello I plug my charger into my advent 7113 the light starts flashing to say it charging (the battery is ~~~~ed) I push the power button to turn it on and it goes dead the charger light stops flashing and laptop won't turn on. Any help please

    have you tried takin the battery out then plug in the charger

      Sounds like Either Cpu down or harddrive down. Pc boot up is when both these are working.

        Had a similar problem myself, mine was the ram had come loose, took the bottom off the laptop and reseated the ram and it sorted it, could be a totally different prob though.

          Also, if the Laptop has 2 sticks of ram, remove one & try them one at a time. Twice now I've had a laptop have 1 stick go bad, & those were the symptoms.

            Thanks for the message I have checked the ram tuck the battery out still no joy

              Try reseating the heatsink on the processor.

              Had a problem with a laptop when I tried to instal windows 7. It would get so far then just shut off. It's not quite the same problem but an easy fix.

                Common fault on these i'm afraid. It's the gpu on the board that's overheated. I've still got one upstairs

                Possibly an xbox type issue where the gpu processor comes away from the board, as it gets to hot, the board warps and comes away. you'd probably have to remove the board and try the oven trick, that aside maybe treat yourself to a new I5 lappy

                  Hi mate, you hear a harddrive?. Had you check for a backlite not turning on, it makes a dark screen and likes a not funtional Lapt.
