    Flashing ink light on printer

hi guys got a problem, just replaced my ink cartridges in my epson r200 printer and the ink light wont stop flashing. It knows the cartridges arent the proper ones, is there any way round this other than buying the proper ones

have you used non epson ink with it before??

you have a couple of options use a chip resetter

try uninstall and reinstall printer again

some inks have different versions i had a R265 and had to wait for the correct compatible ink to come out

then i got a r285 the older ink cartridge would not work anymore the chipset was slightly different

you could always take them back to the shop you bought and tell them your printer will not accept them they may give you a set with a newer chipset

I get this with my Epson R300 and find going through loads of cartridges sometimes though they are 10 a penny.
Another thing it could be is everytime you clean your printer it uses excess ink that fills in a sponge and the printer might need resetting as this used to stop the ink from overflowing.
I had this problem once and used software to reset the clocker on it.

Have read the chipsetter is the best option and can be picked up cheaply off Ebay.

What you will need to do is try and soak up some of the excess waste ink or at some time you will get an overspill problem thats why they have a counter.
Glad you got it sorted mate.
