Dell Inspiron 9400 - Bios Admin Password Recovery

Hi im kinda new and was wondering if anyone could help me with a used laptop i just bought. it has an administrative password on it an i cannot get into setup the system number is 3B4T3N1-2A7B OH its an E5410 Latitude

Need help PLS!!!

Hello to all! After hearing many good things in regards to this site & it's members I've decided to reach out for outside help. I purchased this Dell Inspiron 9400 for my son a few weeks ago who has just started college. I "mistakenly" placed a bios admin password on it after doing a clean install of windows, just simply to protect it against any alterations that a another student may make, to "improve things". LOL* He's home now for the holiday weekend & I decided to make a few tweaks to the bios & yes...I'VE FORGOTTEN MY OWN PASSWORD!!! I have tried for the past 3 days to remember what I entered, to no avail! I have all the previous owner info here & have contacted Dell, but can receive no help til tomorrow & will cost me 50.00$ PLUS! ANY help would be SO MUCH APPRECIATED!!!! The service tag number is:24KD0D1 The service code is:4629628693

Just wanted to give an update & above all to give a very big THANKS to you Smoggy for the help!!! Took me 3 days to find a person that was intelligent, & kind enough to help me out without asking anything in return!!! The password unlocked the bios & allowed me to fix my son up & send him back off to college with a fresh lappy!!! If there's anything I can ever do to repay the favor, just name it....I owe ya BIGTIME!!!
