Is it my PSU causing this

for a while now my PC freezes occationally and needs a reboot, then sometimes it can take a couple of attempts to reboot, also I sometimes could hear a clicking noise coming from pc when nothing was running.
then last night. after playing a game I closed the game down and the screen went black, I turned the monitor off then back on, my desktop appears for a mili-second then screen goes black again, I tried a different monitor and same again,
I turned pc off, when I turned it back on it wont reboot, I cant even get in to the bios, it trys to reboot but stops after a second or two, I'm thinking PSU or could it be motherboard or graphics card,
any sugestions would be appreciated.

Check for loose connections. The only moving parts inside a pc are heat sink fans and hard drives. So check them for the noise.

I'd be tempted to keep an eye on tempratures of stuff like cpu ect.

cheers m8, the clicking noise is like the noise you hear when it's booting up,
and I cant check anything , as I cant get it to boot, somebody sugested resetting the bios to default, is that just a case of taking out the cmos battery out for a while.

Yes. Take the battery out and leave it out for a while. Also unplug any dvd drives usb devices except keyboard mouse.

I could be wrong but I think its going to be a hard drive making the clicking.

When you press the power on does anythin at all happen? Like fans begin to spin then stop?

When i boot it, I can hear the hard drive start, there's a few clicks, all the fans are going (psu, cpu, vga), but then it just hangs, it doesn't even get to asus screen, and as said earlier I cant get into bios.

Have u disconnected everythin? Also disconnect hard drive(s)

I stripped it down today, then tried all the hardware one by one, but found nothing,
so I took the PSU out and opened it up, there was fluid all over it, about 3 capacitors had blown,
went and got a new 750w unit, I thought great problem solved, then I plugged monitor in and it was dead, I think the dodgy PSU has fried it, luckily it is still in warranty, so I'm waiting for a RMA from Benq, just hope they agree to repair/replace it, thanx for the input m8.

It looks as though you might have it sorted, but it sounded like Hard drive packing up to me
