safe mode cleanup
Hi, if you still have problem:
boot into safe mode and do a big old cleanup, this prob is normally caused by virus or like and/or software conflict.
If you go into safe mode with networking and connect via a router, you should still get on Internet. go to file hippo dot com and get ccleaner, malwarebytes, and avast antivirus all free. remove any old or problem apps and run ccleaner with all the options ticked. Then update and run malwarebytes, then install and update avast, but dont choose restart. instead update still dont choose restart, then schedule boot time scan and then restart.Comment

Noooooo,
Benji,
Dont take it to a shop!
Give us a bit more info;
1. Is the pc a branded type (h.p, d3ll)?
2. Have you got the original discs? (kind of determined by the answer to q.1)
If you haven't taken it to a shop already, dont!
you can sort this!Comment

HI benji
If you really need help pm me from a laptop and i will tell you how to fix this.
As it sounds at the moment there is a 3rd party program/driver thats stopping the pc running in normal mode (safe mode boots only the drivers needed for windows to boot).
A nice easy system restore here would be easiest way to go with it and will take approx 20 mins to do.
Pm Me anytime if you still not got this sorted.sigpic

It may be possible for you to use the windows xp disk to perform a system repair. If done correctly this will save your personal files e.g photos etc and repair any damaged windows files and allow you to boot into the system normally.
As Gizmo has already stated we need more information. You should be able to fix this problem with the help of the people on here. we just need all the information to give you the correct fix.
