Now the monitor wont come on at all now, it is like it was when i first tried it with no graphics card.

I am no expert in this field, but on the picture here, do you see where the blue monitor plug is next to the green one, well my desktop doesnt have that blue one at all instead it has two of the green ones next to each other, what are they for and what is going wrong.

    Help me please.

      Hi Livesey,
Normal the (blue) (female) connector comes with your graphic card.
Thera are more solution to rest your password. See:
How to Reset Dell Password-Forgot Dell Admin Password?

I have good experiences with the last option (dismount te systembattery), but never tried it to a DELL.

      Good luck!

Pull the bios battery out and hold the power button down for 10 seconds, leave it for 20min and put the battery back in and boot it.
When you boot it, it will prompt you to adjust date/time etc and hopefully wont ask for a password..
