I have a locked D630 also, however I'm unable to locate the 4 digit suffix that people are mentioning. The Service Tag identified in the Bios and on the underside of the computer is 7LVG2F1. If I look down in the Security section of the Setup section of Bios, it mentions a System NUMBER (not Service Tag) of 7LVG2F1-3A5B. Look as I may, I can't find a different 4 digit suffix anywhere on the sucker.

Hopefully, you can help me. Thanks in advance!

Sorry, suffix -3A5B are too new for our calcs
only Dell or paid service websites can do them

smoggy ... thanks loads!! For your information and others who may have the same problem - I downgraded the BIOS to A12 from A18 and the suffix changed back to -595B.
