      Hi guys,

I stumbled across this forum whilst I accidentally locked my Dell Latitude E6320 whilst trying to activate the TPM hard drive.

Ive locked it and cannot get logged in at all even though Im 100% sure Im entering the password I set for TPM.

Id be most grateful if someone could helpp me with the Dell Secure manager pre boot password.

As mentioned its a latitude e6320 service tag #2C5JFS1-1D3B with BIOS A5

      Thanks in advance

You cant because it wont even let you boot to CD without entering this password first

          Thanks for the suggestion though

Hi, Thank you so much for your quick reply. I've already used some tool and I got the exact same output you gave me. But the computer is telling me that it's wrong.

Any idea on what to do now?

                      it was calculated using suffix-595B

it is the password to get into BIOS (not admin password)
are you using a qwerty type keyboard
and have you typed it in lower case

Hi, The -595B suffix is correct. And the laptop has a QWERTY keyboard and I've typed with lowercase letters.

The password it asks for is the laptop is the one at the "This computer system, #BC7B63J-595B, is protected by a password auth....bla bla bla..... without the correct password."

Followed by "Please type in the system or administrator password and press <enter>"

I think its asking for admin password and not BIOS
do you get an error code if you type in the wrong password 3 times

No, If I enter it wrong 3 times the computer just shuts down.

It's a white screen with black letters saying the text I told earlier.

Really hope you can help me fix this. I don't know what else to do.

If I start the laptop. I see the bios loading screen, there I'm presented with 2 options

-F2 to enter Bios (If I press this the screen will finish loading and lead to the white screen)
-F12 to select boot device (This also leads to the white screen)

Not pressing anything also leads to the white screen. I've tried both F2/F12 and no key at all while having a bootable disk in the laptop.

Still nothing seems to be working
