Thank you for this Hasty reply Smoggy i appreciate your help, unfortunately the password did not work it's an admin password i need to unlock the BIOS as setup is locked with an admin password.

I have been searching all over the internet for the past few days trawling different sites and forums etc, i notice my Service tag has no suffix and is only 7 digits does this mean it differs from others because it does not have the : -595b etc at the end? i have tried to generate a master password and tried many different ones that were generated from my ST to no avail, I have also tried holding ctrl and pressing enter to enter them or both at the same time etc and still have no luck

Do you think I would be able to recover the Bios Admin password with Hirens cd? or is this not the place to ask? currently the laptop is only set to boot from HD & then USB, no other drives are specified or can be specified due to the admin lock, so i was thinking to create a hirens live boot on usb and use this method as a last resort.

I appreciate any help in resolving this matter. Thank you again

when there is no suffix the only one I have seen work is -595B

the admin password is generally the same as the master BIOS password providing it hasn't been changed by user, when changed by user then you have to find other ways like using software programs
