HI
Biostar MCP6P M2+ motherboard
AMD Athlon 7750 Dual-core processor
and 2.87 ( 3 ) GB ram
Windows XP pro + sp3
Avast antivirus + malaware
The problem I'm having is , when you start up the pc it doesn't even get to the black screen with the windows logo and the blue bar before it goes to a blue screen and say's - a file is corrupt of missing = windows\system32\config\system.
History - I've been having some problems for a while that was writen here http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...oblems-172908/ and I'm not entirly sure it's not connected.
I reset the bios then did a full erase of my hard drive and reloaded my windows xp pro with some of the things I'd been using before on saturday and used it ok on sat evening. Sunday turned it on to find the problem above , so I re-wiped the hard drive and tried again ( thinking it might be me ) sunday evening it was fine did some scanning - photos. Monday , it did the same thing , with the same blue screen.
Ran my windows disc to do a repair , got onto the dos files / page ran chkdsk - nothing found - started windows again and it ran normally.
Can someone help to sort this out as I'm not entirly sure what I'm doing . I can put them together and sort ' normal ' things but this is a bit wierd.
Thanks
Adam
