Again tho, maybe try removing a dimm of ram at a time, or running RAM tests over night. Checking for BIOS updates ect.

Does it happen certain times? Whats the Temp of the CPU in bios?

Can you post the make and model of the motherboard?
it doesnt happen at certain times, happens more when i have several programs running.
or to be more accurite, if i have alot of programs running and try to start summit else, if you see what i mean.

my cpu temp is 46'c, fan speed 1739 rpm.
while trying to get into my bios i found windows memory testing tool in my boot options,

i ran it, took about 15 mins and come back with no errors.

how would i get my my motherboard details, just a matter of getting my screwdriver out?

download and install this SIW - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com

then scroll down the list on the left to Motherboard and it should tell you everything you need to know.
the program will in fact tell you everything about your pc whether you need/want to know or not

Download memtest.. that usually detects a stick of bad ram instantly

It could be a driver thats making it BSOD.. my xp service pack 3 install run well for weeks then screen use to flick on and off alot, then started BSOD'ing every so often, but after a reinstall of the same xp service pack 3 it hasn't done it for about 6 months now so I'm asuming it was a driver that didnt go down well when installed.. this may happen especially if you're running older hardware like me

Also once a few years back it was my old hit and miss ps2 keyboard that made my pc BSOD and use to freze ubuntu up, but once replaced worked fine(it use to restart the pc when pulled out then plugged in again).. so it could be anything

Get memtest though and run it straight after booting into Win 7..also it may be even a dual channel ram problem if your MB has it enabled.. sometimes it ~~~~s up when one stick losses the plot and system info is lost, but both sticks may work fine in single channel mode.. try disabling it in bios(if your MB supports it that is)

            keyboard!
now interesttingly im using a ms wireless dektop, that didn't install properly.
i was prompted to update drivers for it... wonder if thats the problem????

also, after the bsod incident today the keyboard and mouse was unresponsive. i had to switch off pc and restart before they would work...

could a wireless desktop cause bsod?

occasionally unresponsive mouse/keyboard were some of the symptoms i experienced with my BSOD issues.

apart from BSOD crashes, my pc would also freeze up prompting me to switch the whole thing off and restart. when this happened, i would have to leave the pc unplugged for around 10 minutes before it would turn back on
