close down firefox and anything else you have running.

press ctrl , alt , delete at the same time.
start task manager and stop any running applications.
then try the msconfig againh

i have shut it down now,when your saying in safe mode do you mean switch on log into laptop then on the windows logo click and then go to firefox safe mode or just click on windows logo and type msconfig in the search box do i need the punctuation marks? if so which key are they on

am i safer leaving it switched off and taking it to computer shop as i'm only self tought on the computer

just click the windows icon, then type in the small box just above it.

just click windows icon and start typing, nothin to do with firefox

easy fix

hi mate download malwarebytes on another pc put it to usb memory card and run it ion the infected pc in basic check at first then reboot pc then run it again in full scan mode you have a trojon virus on your pc and malwarebytes will remove it for you its free and heres a link

i have closed all of the boxes and typed msconfig, above shows programs 1

am i doing it right if so whats the next step?

hi m8 i have had this virus and it came from facebook and a few of my m8s have had the same thing win 7 scan,i only got rid of it with spybot search and destroy plus malwarebytes, don't take it to a shop they r all ripoffs,try and borrow a friends usb key and ask them to download it and put on key,don't let the laptop go online,hope this helps and good luck
