The number dialled is almost always *99# and you can set this in Windows Dial-Up Networking.
Try here: http://www.dc-files.com/files/huawei/routers/B970/
You may need to flash generic firmware if everything is locked!!Last edited by Jim.Mahoney; 10 April, 2012, 09:51.Comment

Hello
Trying to use the SBC Code Calculator v1.30 to unlock my Huawei E367U. Left it on autoselect first of all and seemed to work as it read the device and calculated codes, however unlock code didn't work (9 tries left).
Round 2 - This time instead of autoselect I tried to select my model but E367U isn't on the list. Is this model supported please? Is there a post V1.30 version of this programComment

These have a new algorithm and can't be calculated!
However:
This is supposed to unlock both Huawei E367 and E353.
I don't have either modem here to test.
Modems also theoretically supported:
E367u-1_1G
E367u-2_1G
E367u-6_1G
E367u-8_RFMD
E367u-8_AVAGO
E353u-1_1G
E353u-2_1G
E353u-6_1G
It is important that you use backup NVitems just in case. I'm told that should you have only 2G service after the unlock the NVitems need to be restored manually to correct the issue.
You will also need the firmware and you'll find that here: firmware.zip download - 2shared
Caveat: I have never used this software to unlock either model. It unlocks by a firmware patch and not by code! Therefore I can not support this software nor be held responsible for any damaged the software or your incorrect use of the software may cause!
The software comes from a well know writer of GSM tools. I heard of others using it with 100% success. The choice is yours!
Please post your results to help others!!Attached FilesComment

Great stuff, thanks Jim.Mahoney! I didn't fancy taking a chance and mess things up so I return this dongle to shop and purchased a pre-unlocked one from eBay.
Problem I have now is that while can connect via Mobile Partner using GiffGaff sim, app clearly shows I'm connected but when I try to access a web browser, no pages will load, acting as if I'm not connected?
UPDATE: Issue resolved. PC was connected to router which was on, but no active DSL line. Switched this off and now I can connect via dongle. No idea why non active Ethernet would interfere thought. Strange.Last edited by jackhulk; 18 April, 2012, 14:14.Comment

The quick and easy way is to turn 'autorun' off within Windows. It varies between Windows XP, Vista & 7 so call up Windows help and search on Autorun for the method.
There are other methods be these depend on your computer skills...Comment

Thanks but I'll like to keep autorun activate for everything else.
Most interested in how to either rename autorun.inf. or delete the autorun files but they are all protected. Do you know how I can unprotected these in order to delete them? I'm using Windows XP.Comment
