4- Press OK
5- Dial NCK unlock code
6- You might be asked to enter the unlock code twice

but the menu system will not let me press anything like it black out

Just to clear this up a bit..

You can either put an accepted SIM or No SIM in the phone.. This won't work with an unaccepted SIM installed.

Read what code is required, do not asume the NCK code is what is needed. Virgin handsets need the SPCK to unlock them.

The phone will restart, once this is done the phone is unlocked.

my phone is lock to the 02 network at the moment. i use my own 02 sim for this

i have done it with a sim or not.this what i do, boot up the phone dail Dial 2945#*310#
this bring me to the unlock usim menu.after that i get a menu like network lock,sim/usim and three more.none of these can be press and all i get is not available on all of them.

Am i doing it wrong then?
