I wonder if this would work to remove what I don't want
Unlock or Remove Widgets Guide - Samsung Flash Wiki

I did things like this to my Sony Ericsson.

EDIT:- This won't work with mine :-(

Sorry, I've not been online for a while.

Just to confirm, sammobile & samfirmware are the same.

You need to reflash with the correct flash files. In a lot of packs you get two choices on files.... europe open & the slav version you used. Only ever use europe only versions...unless you want to learn a new language.

As in my fist post, you need to look for the XX firmware releases. Flashing gets easier the more practice you get.

You can flash individual files, but only those that came in the same firmware release...don't mix releases.
But if you had two CSC files to chose from, you can just flash the CSC file you didn't chose first time round without having to flash everything again.

No free codes! You can either buy a code or take it to a dealer...

Good news and bad news: I can do it for free and now the bad news, you'll have to bring it to me... And the very bad news, I'm a four hour drive from Cape Town, South Africa!!

They can, but access to the Samsung database isn't free.

                        Bummer :-(

I still can't find a uk csc file for it.
Firmware says uk then when you download it & check the csc file it for another European country.

Sorry my error, not the same...

Try this: Hotfile.com: One click file hosting: S5260_XXKA7_OXA.rar
                          This does include the XEU.csc!!!

I had to type *#272*(time on the phone)#
this then let me select the csc I wanted.

Only bug I've found is when I try to open the 'MEMO' pad the phone restarts. Everything is is fine & the T9 text word selection is far better than the other rubbish it offered me.
