K3520 Huawei

Hi.

I have some probs with my vodafone Huawei K3520.

I use a non vodafone sim together with Mobile Partner
soft version: 11.002.04.10.03

communication brake lot of times,wanted to download update for mobilepartner,but there was write only for ????clients...so i will lock my usb modem?

What are possibilities for update or other.

The Huawei K3520 is the same as the Huawei E169.

Do note that the K3520-Z is NOT a Huawei device, it is in fact a ZTE device and my experience with ZTE is not good! Suffice it to say you get what you pay for!!

Changing the dashboard software will have no effect! In effect once connected apart from signal and data measurement whatever dashboard you use, it will do nothing else!

You will find a slightly more up to date dashboard here:

As far as I am aware the following is the latest Firmware for the E3520/E169:

Your problem is more likely firmware related than dashboard for the reasons outlined above. Signal can also be a huge source of problems and a great tool to try is MDMA. This more accurately measures signal plus allows you to connect and disconnect but it does not support SMS. It does (for most modems) support USSD which can be handy for pre-paid users!

Note that you MUST close Mobile Partner (or whatever other dashboard software you have running) completely when using MDMA. It also supports command line switches, so see the text file that comes with the program before you run it!

If you use any of the programs or updates here, they will not have any effect on the network lock of your modem. Do ensure that you have either a UPS or enough battery power on your laptop in case of power failure during the upgrade!
