    Blackberry 8110 questions..

    i have a blackberry 8110 .

I cant figure a few settings and hoping someone can tell me how.

    1.
I want to make the keypad get automatically locked after the phone hasnt been in use for say approx 30 seconds or summit like that.

    2.
i want to make the phone ring and vibrate, so far i can only figure out how to have either/or.

    3.
and the GPS, does that actually work like a sat nav you get in cars etc, or does it just give your actual longditude and latitude etc ?

    4.
how do i turn off the stupid text that auto completes words, i hate that ?

Would be excellent if someone could help me with these things as I've tried n tried till my head and eyes are sore to figure them out and i cant.

hmmm, this blackberry aint so bad afterall, ive worked out how to do some stuff on it and its pretty good now, takes a while getting used to, but once you know how its a very good piece of kit, i think people get pissed off quick as it takes a while to learn and most people dont wanna learn new phones etc.

one of the things that was busting my sacks was that stupid auto text complete thing wouldnt go away when typing texts etc even though i had turned autotext off, but then i found out how to fix it, what you do is turn on multi-tap in the options/localisation for your language/country, hope this helps other blackberry users with same probs wondering how to do it

you need the blackberry apps on there, go on the net on the BB and type on blackberry apps, theres loads of free apps to download and mess about with.

i have a BB for bout 9 months, loved it and would definatly have another one!

Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support BlackBerry App World.

have you had the blackberry set up correctly by your service provider and some networks do not allow BB on pay as you go. does your internet work and can you send/ receive emails?

the holster is a leather type sleave or wallet that you slide the BB into, other than giving it obious protection from drops and scratches when in there it puts the BB into a type of power save mode where it will use less battery etc.. You can also set up a 'profile' of how you want to operate when in the holster i.e. no audible ring but just to vibrate etc..
