hi im having hassle installing
huawei e122 modem imei 356882033167769

ive installed mobile partner
and i can read the messages from my o2 sim but cant seem to access the net even though the light is flashing blue on the modem and ai can see the signal strength
i entered the unlock number dont no what else to do
wasnt able to change connection profile

maybe its because im trying to use an o2 sim in a 3 modem
i thought thats what unlocking it would enable me to do

You MUST set a new profile if you are using a new network!

The O2 setting s are:

APN (contract): mobile.o2.co.uk <--- Use if a contract SIM

APN (PAYG): m-bb.o2.co.uk <--- Use if a pre-pay SIM

Username: web
Password: web

In mobile partner:

1. Click on Tools and then Options
2. Click on Profile Management
3. Click on New
4. Type in a name O2 for example
5. Check Static
6. Enter the details above appropriate for your SIM
7. When you are happy Click on Default

Try the attached as this should inset the settings for just about every network worldwide! It will say that it is out of date but it still works OK. Then select your network from the main connection window...

i wasnt selecting static when entering the details
just to let people no anyone trying to unlock o2 ireland these are the details you need

apn code = open.internet
username = gprs
password = gprs

also that file ya listed will that allow me use my o2 dongle out foreign without any charges or hassle

It should work the same as a mobile phone when roaming. If roaming is activated on the SIM & it locks onto a foreign network you will be charged the roaming rate. If you go abroad & put a SIM into the dongle from that country you should be able to create a new profile for that SIM.

It won't allow you free use of any network.
