It's kinda hard to Unlock my E1552 Modem I done all the Steps Specially disabling and closing all the programs that are related to the broadband before doing the firmware update. I Still got those "Update Failure" thing, Even though I input the right code, I really don't know whats the problem with my Globe Tattoo Modem .

Does the modem work?

If it doesn't then the drivers may not be loaded correctly...

If the modem works, check that NOTHING is running remotely connected with the modem in Windows Task Manager!

If trying on Windows Vista or 7 then try a XP based PC.

Yes my Modem is 100% Working. I am a Big Fan of Windows Xp Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2. In fact I am a Computer Technician "Surprise ^_^" and I really hate using those Versions Higher than WinXp SP2. Why? Just always remember "The Higher the Version of the Operating System the more Restrictions it has."
TWO BIG THINGS
1st. Hard to fix Bugs and Errors.(Including "Virus, Spaywares, Malwares, Worms and Others")
2nd is Hard to play with the Registry ^_^.
That's too much Introduction? I do apologize for that...
And going back to my problem hehehe, Connected Remotely to my modem?, I think by the time that I disabled my modem and all the programs connected to it, Esp. When I also risk to Disable Anti Virus nothing will be connected remotely to my modem. Also before I forgot,
I tried to update it Via Safe Mode In Fact the Modem is Undetected During the SAFE MODE.

These are the comments from a friend who develops modem unlocking software:

What we have problem unlocking is with Firmware Version:

11.608.13.10.158 (mostly in RED BOX)

Let me summarize why it can't be unlocked:

Out of the Box;

1) The counter to enter the unlock code is already set to 0 (zero).

2) The counter can be reset but at a cost and its expensive.

3) A tester still was not able to get the unlock prompt even after resetting the counter. So it is not the solution.

4) Many have tried the "flashing" route including me and it fails each time.

Flashing is disabled.

My advice is to sell it and buy another modem if possible to someone willing to use the network that it is locked to?

Sorry that it's bad news but a least you know now!

Thanks for the code.
Your instructions say use a PC. Worked fine on a macbook.

You just put an unaccepted simcard in the dongle and plug to your pc then the dashboard will ask for unlock code.

If you insert a non-Vodafone SIM and it doesn't ask for the unlock code, remove the dongle and uninstall Vodafone Mobile Connect (via Windows Control Panel) and then install the PC version of Huawei Mobile Partner. If the Vodafone software tries to re-install itself, cancel it!

Vodafone Mobile Connect software doesn't allow another SIM to be recognised even when the modem is unlocked! So you'll probably want to leave it on your PC. Remember you'll need to setup a new profile in Mobile Partner for your new network.

You can flash a Huawei dashboard to the modem but it's not necessary. If you need to use USSD functions with the K3520 let me know as Mobile Partner needs a little tweak to get it to function correctly.
