Thanks for that. I am just wondering.

On my phone it shows activation required where vodafone(my operator) should be. Is there anyway i can remove that?

          thanks in advance

                    Afternoon all

Fantomel you very kindly provided me with an MEP2 unlock code for my blackberry and it didnt work (although there is nothing wrong with the code itself) but I now know why and Im hoping you can give me some advice on what to do next.

Basically the Blackberry is from Virgin media and I have a virgin media PAYG sim inside. When I turn it on I get the mornal menu, full battery, full signal etc but if I try to make a call from it I get the message "authorisation failure" and if I call into it I get the message "calls to this number cannot be connected at present"

Ive since taken out the sim and replaced it with my contract O2 sim. It immediately asks for my MEP unlock code but the message displayed is "MEP code 0 left"

So my questions are: Firstly the no incoming or outgoing calls on Virgin Media - is there a chance this phone has been reported stolen and blocked prior to me buying it? Secondly is there any way of reseting the MEP code back to 10 attempts?

This is an almost brand new and unused phone, so its such a smhame to get rid of.

                    Thanks in advance

good chance it is barred as for 0 attmpts left and should the handset still need unlocking then only option is to find a shop with access to DM3 box

We currently support the following Blackberry models:
                      • 7130
                      • Pearl 8100, 8110, 8120
                      • Kickstart 8220
                      • Curve 8300, 8310, 8320
                      • Pearl 8520, 8530 (new!)
                      • 8700, 8707
                      • 8800, 8820, 8830
                      • Javelin 8900
                      • Bold 9000
                      • Storm 9500, 9530 (including Bell/Telus)
                      • Storm2 9520, 9550 (new!)
                      • Tour 9630 (new!)
                      • Bold2 9700 (new!)

We also support unlocking of phones with so-called ?0 MEP code left? block. The block is consequence of having tried too many invalid unlock codes before, and our unlocking service is the only known way to unlock such handsets.
The turnaround time for this service is the same as for the DM3 Nokia BB5 service.
Available now at all DM3 service centers.
