Whats the score with the claims that there was a fire at the store ?? Apparently it's not true...shop raided by Police and trading standards, all stock out on the pavment being checked.

No doubt someone will clarify the truth in due course..Good to see that the service + is returning though...Doubt it's a coincidence that server goes down at the same time that the shop is "raided" or has a "fire"...

I do beleve it was just someone trying to cause a issue, someone who has a issue with people connected with the spiderbox, i dont know for sure, but why would police raid a shop which sell free to air boxes?? there are a load of sat suppliers who sell them!! i sure its not ilegal to sell these boxes, im not a expert so please correct me if i am wrong.

You could well be right, might just be rummour spreading...tax evasion has even been mentioned as the reason for the shop being raided, some pictures flaoting around of the outside of the shop as well with shutters down, no external signs of fire or smoke damage.. Still not to say there isnt any internal damage.

Agreed it's not illegal to sell FTA boxes.. Just wondered if anyone knew the proper story. I dont trust the DM crew and their forum to tell the truth either, a fire is a "convenient" excuse to use, also the rumour spreaders cant be trusted without providing any concrete evidence.. Still intresting why the service + went down at the same timeas the shop incident...if the server is based in Korea.

I dont no the reason mate but all i can say there is no pictures of this so called raid, it was mene to have happened on the tuesday first time it came on any forum was either late thursday or early friday i am sure if someone knew something it would of been there stright away also they wouldn't of had all the boxes laying in the street would of been baged/Boxed up and stright in the meat wagons, and sorted at the station, they would of took pictures in the shop, alot of what i saw posted on all forums were off the same person with all kinds of s**t not just about the shop been raided also about people who work behind the scenes running off when all money had been made, i think it was defo a few people trying to scaremonger other, but if there is someone out there with the correct info i would be willing to look but to be fair i am quite show there isn't,

it may well be they are looking to upgrade their equipment. Hell everybody does that.

Correct, but people were saying police had all the boxes stacked up outside, which is not really beleveable, and they were saying there were loads of police and police vans... uhh think a bit of fabrication there!!

just like to say even though this thread has had a lot of negative feedback it has been good to hear members opinions without any arguements, it just goes to show what a good forum this is and in the long run we have all learnt a little from this whatever the outcome of service+

Would I buy a spiderbox with no gift ? Yes but only if it was cheaper than a DM800HD clone...otherwise no..

Thik a 9000HD is around 155 quid...so without gift at that price i'd rather have a DM800HD clone at under 130 delivered.

Extra channel wise None!! its laughable when dm owners call any other box than theirs a starter box!!
the spider can open any channel a dm can!!
