sky italia used to do something everytime the champions league was on. the screens would go black for about 30 mins before a fix was out there

The people who code these new encryption methods are also on the payroll of the people who want to crack it.

Also there are always flaws in these new security systems for example all you have to look at is Anti Virus software. They are always updating their software but new viruses come out everyday and get past them.

I'm down in Australia and can confirm counter measures have killed our HD services (for CS) on f0Xtel (murdoch vision) and they've been active for a couple of weeks. Some SD services are also in black. ECM streams have been altered on the effected channels and only sulution at this stage is to put the card back in its murdoch box. Hoping someone can help us soon as it's probably gonna hit everyone else soonish.

sounds like they've found a new pairing system... that's the only thing I can think of that would result in a full blackout of all channels and without the need of replacing the card itself. Have they issued new cards???

If you read ALL of the thread in my above post you will see they have blacked out all hd and some sd and not issue'd any new card and will have a better idea of what they might have done.

i always skip to the last page and start reading, but anyway, im more than certain when it hits europe a fix will be found. As for aussies, its a waiting game for you guys...

Hey guys just an update today, 11AM (our time) all channels on the 096C CAID have been "updated" to the new ECM stream and can now not be shared by any means commonly known. For more info see the thread quoted by Fergal.

I have 4 dm800's and was very happy watching fox in any of my rooms, now all I can do is use them as media servers. At the end of the day it would have been better to just get another box from fox.

Fact is that in Europe, NDS boxes in both Italy and the UK the firmware and card reading routines and camcrypt are accessible.

The new card will be readable in oscam however expect new modes for ECM's, and possibly ECM limits.

current cards clearly do not have a mode so the card can id the channel in the ECM stream. There is no SID in the ECM. only irdeto use CHID's in there encryption. so currently there isn't a way for NDS card to ID how many channels are being watched unlike Irdeto, only how many entitlements are in use.

Maybe this new NDS card once all the old cards are out of service they switch to a new ECM nano/mode, that can id the channel or how many differenct channels are being watched that only works on this new card.
