Hi, got a 1m motorised dish with a dm500 box. It seems high winds have knocked out my dish a bit as I am not getting any signal on 19.2e and 13e is there, but is breaking up. Is it possible to adjust the dish marginally from the box or will I have to have it adjusted from the dish on the roof?
Wind has moved motorised dish

Cheers, not in the house just now you see. Last question, is it possible that when winds die down, the signal will be fine?Comment

no not at all you are just fine tuning the dish. you can only mess it up if you get up on your roof and move it . if the wind has done this you will need to relign the dish which will mean getting up on the roof but realy the roof is not the ideal place to mount the dish. if it is mounted on the wall it would be more protected from the wind and be easier to serviceComment

If you turn to BBC World on 08.0W and check your signal you should be able to get an idea of whether its moved a lot or justa little in the wind.Comment

Aye? I get 13e but it's got a reduced SNR, but 19.2e is gone completely. I'll just need to see I supposeComment

Cheers for the replies lads, will try and tinker with it and if I'm gubbed I'll ask the boy who installed it to adjust it.Comment

Someone set it up for me. What's USALS? The guy got a lock on 13e and the rest just dropped in apparently.Comment

Your motor will either be set up on USALS or diseqc. Sounds like that is what yours is set ip on if the installer locked on one and the rest dropped in. Diseqc requires you to find and store each sat.
If you follow Smirnoffs advice and go to rotor set up you should see if its USALS.Comment
