Its probably not on the arc cause it got moved around by strong wind. When I do a reset I dont move the dish to 0. I nudge the button on the motor about 6/7 times to the west of zero and then it is fixed perfectly back on the arc. Try that and see what happens.

I don,t think the clamp has slipped. i looked at the clamp thru a pair of binoculars and tiny red rust stains on the pole that the clamp is attached to are in direct line with teeth on the clamp indicating to me that it hasn,t moved I need to get up to the motor and move it manualy to 0 and place a thin rod are something in the hole underneath to do a hardware reset i think and try it from there?. To dick b i did what you said using the 1.2 and moving east and west and was able to get 28 east then 13 east then back to 19 east but couldn,t get any others do you know of any other good transponders for say 39 east that i could tune too are any of the other sats. And also everytime i would want to move to another sat do i have do i have to save it and rescan?? many thanks to all for your input here im learning more with every post.

if you are managing to find sats on 1.2 ok continue with the way you are doing it. you have to save and scan each new sat other wise if not scanned it will not show on your list when you press the "sat"button go to Home - FlySat Satellite Chart and click on the sat list tab for channels and their transponders.use the guide I posted in#11.and here is a re-print from the TM manual.

Thanks dick b did as you said and now able to get 39 east. Just a few more questions. Question 1 Each time that i change sats do i have to scan them even if for instance i was watching something on 13 east then moved to sat 19 east then decided to move back to 13 east would i have to rescan each time or does the motor remember the scans that i have done and saved the sats like usals? Question2 And if i do need to rescan each time would i be best to log on to a piece of paper sats and there strongest transponders. Thanks for all the help i didn,t even know before this thread started that the motor could be moved manually. I wonder why the sat engineer that said i needed a new motor didn,t just tell me this????

on diseqc 1.2 once you have found the sat you are after and scanned and saved the motor will remember that position for next time and the channels will be remembered as well no need to scan each time you go to the sat.the difference between Usals and 1.2 is on usals once you have found one sat it can work out automatically where the rest are mathmatically, but with 1.2 you have to find each sat yourself and save that position on the motor but you only have to do it once then when you select that sat on the sat menu and press"OK" it should find it automatically.
