Question about motorized setup

I got a satellite guy installed a motorized dish, size 1.1m and receiver openbox. I put the dish on 1w and scanned all channels and they are OK. The problem I have is on random sats I don't get channles like 19e and 16e, and when I scan 26e I get 28e channels and when I scan 28e I don't get any channel.
What is wron here?
Just to add I can get 4.8e channels very good, when the sat guy setup the motor he chose USALS and didn't put any vlues in the motor setting as he said put the dish on Thor and the box will know the rest of sats.

Any help is apperciated.

Have you put a sat xml file in with all the sats you want ? satellites.xml generator

Just re read your post m8 and if USALS is set up correctly on the highest sat, Lat and Long entered and the pole your dish is on is 100% plumb it will follow the arc and get every sat.
It sounds like it's been setup as DISEQC where sats have been manually tuned.

I have got the latest satellite.xml file. The guy who installed it chose USALS but didn't enter any value in the lat and long fields and he said the box will find all these channels by selecting them one by one. Should I select Disqec 1.2 instead of USALS?
Sorry I only had fixed LNBs for long time so motorized bit new to me.

On mine i have it as menu/setup/service searching/tuner configuration/usals configuration mode simple,then change mode to positioner and put in long and lat.
Take a look at my picture below.
Make certain you put the correct long and lat in as you dont put it in how you see it in dishpointer.

I think I know what is wrong here, the installer chose USALS but left longitude and latitude both zero
In the open box I need to provide these values if I use USALS

longtiude 000 E
latitude 00 N
Using dish pointer for my home I get
Latitude: 53.7454?
Longitude: -1.6102?
what values should I input in the openbox?

That your full address inc number? Wont matter to much but i put my full address in and tweak it.
Try 053.745 and 001.610

I put our post code and when I see our street in the map I zoom in and choose our houe and the wall where the dish is.

Did you check my picture and choose simple,and mode positioner?
Then add the long and lat,best to put in full address inc number,street etc

The options in openbox for motorized are :
longtiude 000 E
latitude 00 N
Use USAL on all motor channles
Use Disquec 1.2 on all motor channels
There are no option for simple or advanced setup

If you have a Dreambox 800hd i would be tempted to try that till you can fathom out the Openbox.
Im guessing there should be some setting for the Openbox cos its Enigma 2 like the Dreambox.
I take it you have put in the long and lat in correctly with the decimal point in the correct place.
It wont work without it being done properley.

I am restrictd in the number of decimals I can use, I have
Longitude xxx.xx decimals
Latitude xx.xx decimals
so I put longitude 001.61 and latitude 53.74
is this correct?
I can PM my post code to see if I am getting values correct from dish pointer?

Round it off to the nearest number Adam, you can fine tune it once you get it picking up

Just scrap using usals. I personally dont like it.

As long as your confident in the dish is setup correctly on your wall and the arc is ok, then just pick the sats you want to find in the tuner config.

Then manually move and store them.

Start as far east your dish goes and work your way west.
