New to satellite

hi all im new on here and am looking at geting a protek 9750hd ip with 1mtr motorised dish. i have a sth facing wall to install dish on do i have to have some sort of power to the dish and also would this set up enable me to watch the 3 pm kickoffs or would i need a sub to someone cheers Tommy

get yourself a protek m8 no need for c/s they are plug and play they just need to be hooked up to your motorised dish and router loads of 3pm games..........BJ1

If you get a protek you will not need to looking for cs, it comes with a "gift".

gift opens all your channels that are available on protek server....where are you thinking of buying your box from..BJ1

Only thing about a gift with any receiver is you will only get certain packages,so dont expect the dog bollocks with it.
Where as the other route the chances are you will get everything and alot in hd.
Dreambox all the way for me,looked at a Protek when i first started out and wasnt overly impressed with the gift.

Hi Andy,it aint the dog bollocks if you can't get a line & one that won't freeze up.I had a line till not long ago,been told it's now shut,gave a few bob for it 2.I think people out there should know what can happen,there is also a down side that never gets talked about.

A good server is few and far to find but ive read the Protek freezes so you take your chance.
When i had my motorised setup installed the sat man tried to sell me a Protek,to be fair it wasnt bad but none of the gift that came with it were the well known British Satellite company that i wanted and most were foriegn shit.
Nothing is perfect unless you pay legit.

Hi Andy iv had a motorised setup for donkys years.Seen from d2mac to now,thing with lines it's light switch tv,you can be turned off any time.Iv a few channels on ATM,but it's not what i'm after.Footie just about to start again & this always happens around this time.With a bit of luck i might get a pm & be able to work something out with someone.If not i guess i will get infactions as usal & get barred from satellite boards all over the web.

I know exactly what you mean mate,im just happy with what ive got at the moment and its pretty stable.
Said it before if you want perfection pay for the real deal.
