routed cable from dm800 > motor > lnb. Motor not working lnb prob? motor prob? cable?

Hi, setting up motorised dish. so far routed cable from receiver to motor, and from the motor to lnb.

i dont know what the problem is but im getting no power at all to the motor. i dont know if the dark superior motor, inverto ultra lnb or wf100 cable are faulty.

note: required extra cable so bought ANT100 CAI 0087 A 5122 RoHS 087M Cable ------------------ is this the problem?

    any help appreciated.

any installers from derby please contact me. i've routed the cable and put the tk bracket with pole, so majority of work done. just need the motor working and dish aligned and setup

i think the lnb may be working.

menu > setup > service searching > satfinder.

    when i enter satfinder menu SNR = 0%, AGC = 0%, BER = 0. but when i select tune > predefined transponder AGC = 89 %

Select menu/setup/service,searching/tuner configuration/tuner choose configuration mode as simple.
In mode below choose positioner and put your long and lat in.
            Thats basically it.

            This thread will help below.

Put your full address in dishpointer to get correct long and lat.

Has to be on the arc to stand a chance of finding a sat?
When you put it up did you follow any guides?
Cant expect to point it to the sky and it to work

Not surprised you didnt get a lock.
You will do well to get someone out quickly to sort out a botch job.
Im sure you can pick up a cheap meter and have a go yourself but make sure the pole is plumb so you need a spirit level and set the degrees correctly for the long and lat on the dish.

mate its not that much of a botch job. the pole is as vertical as possible, used a spirit level for both the tk bracket and pole.

its just the dish, i obviously cant get the dish perfectly aligned due south, has the receiver got a feature to help align the satellite dish.

As Andy stated you just need to input your lat / long correctly, and what i would do is have a portable tv conected outside near the dish first so you can see what is happening when you move the dish around ie:- picture wise.

On the dm800 there is also a sat find page which i would use, and this will determing when you hit a satellite as you will see the meter go up or down, and eventurlly a picture will appear on the screen.

Use the other Sat dishes around pointing to asta 28 as a references.

Hi, to test if the sat is catching any channels wouldn't I need to have some channels stored on the receiver?

Note I've updated firmware to blackhole image

Ty. What channels is best to align satellite?

I've aligned the motor and dish as straight as possible. Do I point it to 28.2?e sky satellite or Thor 0.8? sat?
