28.2 will do as you will have those bouquets, if you have Thor 0.8? sat bouquets, use BBC world news i think as that is the fta channle on Canal Digital Nordic and is a very strong signal.

ITgate TGM220 (swapable tuner), Dreambox 800 pro, Dreambox 500c x 2, DBox, Popbox media player.

I basically want as much channels as possible. Which satellite should I first try to align? And where can I get Thor bouquet?

I can't understand someone not buying a Satfinder meter. They are less than ?10 and save a lot of time messing about.

But he has a dm800 which has a built in sat finder go to menu > setup > service searching > satfinder......Works a treat as long if you have a tv / portable near by to see the screen and signal, it just does not have that high pitch NOISE.........:-)

Lol don't judge. I did ask if a sat meter was any good. If I'm willing to call a installer and pay ?70 just to align the dish, how can I be a tight arse?

cheap sat meter wont tell you what sat you are on.as your box has a satfinder menu use that. if using USALS make sure your correct long/lat are in the box and the same lat is set on motor. send the dish to 1West then put 11.682 H 28000 in your sat finder menu with 1West as the satellite.then starting off with the whole motor/dish assembly pointing roughly south and the dish elevation around 22 search for a signal by moving the whole lot L/R and the dish elevation only up/down til you find the signal. sweep slowly left/right then move the dish up a bit at a time if unsuccessful move it down a bit at a time and you will get it in the end.if you would rather use 28.2 East as your target its just as good but start off pointing in the same direction as sky dishes and make sure an active TP is set.
ps dont forget to scan after you have found your target sat.

Open google type in "true south satellite google" you should get a site (i think its satfinder) that you type in your postcode and it will show you a picture of your house and an arrow point to true south.Align your dish as close to true south as possible.
Set your receiver to usals and then point to Thor 0.8 west ,fine tune your signal tighten all the nuts and then test with other satelite's.If all is ok great if not go back to thor and fine tune again till you get it right.I cant tell you how to set up your receiver because i used an openbox.I hope this helps
