Note that Sky, BT & most of the other ADSL providers are effectively routed over the same backbone.
Agreed, I understand the routing with regards to the provision of internet services across all providers, however I also note that using the services of the particular provider you CS on is not ideal and many servers will not even entertain you if you do so.

However I also know there are many ways that you may get this letter, we have had numerous threads debating the reasons why.

Sly's use of DCWs has however not been discussed maybe that would help.

Sharing a sky card when you have sky broadband is a big no no, Also you should update your box every month with it pluged in to the phone socket with the card in the sky box so it can get all updates i have read some ppl leave there card in and box connected for up to 12 hours weather or not it is necessary i don't know, but that would be my advice

I have a sneaky suspicion that the online boxkey generator has something to do with all this did u by any chance use the online vj generator .

We have had many threads in relation to this as said, the online BK generator was discussed at length in many of them and warnings issued. And to use a standalone app if required. Or a proxy like Oscam or similar to read the card without the need for a BK reader.

There are other methods that have not been discussed as I indicated above.

But as said by all if you are caught then the lesson is already learned.

That is an interesting one and there does appear to be several different DCW methods in use although for Sky to actually start sending letters out they obviously would need to have access to the results (ie, the card server).

The majority of 'letters' seem to be generated either by people inviting strangers onto the server (most likely) OR people running the server using default values, thus making it all very easy to monitor !

why would you say that then?? be interested to know.

i got both of them although i don't really use them that much.

also regards the updating....using cccam 2.2.1 it seems to update automatically in the box. no need to take it out and put it in sly box. always seems to have about 6 weeks entitlements on it.

could take upto 6 weeks to reprovide your broadband elsewhere if you end up with tags on your line but depending on which provider you go with this may not be the case
