Which Sat reciever should i get?

Hi can someone let me know which sat reciever is the most reliable and easy to set-up, and can also get the setanta ireland channel on it?

At the moment i have cable but want to go Sat route, but there are so many Sat recievers outhere and i dont know which one to get.

If anyone can be helpfull it will be mostly appreciated. Thanx

It all depends on what method of decryption you use, If your using a legit subcription to Sky and are in the UK then no, If you are using other means to decryption, For example " card sharing " then yes you would probably pick it up with a decent sly server.

P.S, google cardshare for more, Can't talk much here on the subject!

        Regards & Welcome to satellite

I would say the Blade7000 or Technomate TM5402HD are easier to setup, especially for a novice, but you can do more with a Linux box.

Linux meaning that you can put software on it etc yes, You can also load in special " software " where with a small fee you can start getting your channels, That's all I have to say on the subject as we really shouldn't talk about it!

                  Regards.

If i was you i would get a technomate 500 super they are cheap and reliable and easy to use. Its like a nokia phone for user friendly. You will need to install some software and then use the miniweb to add your other software sounds complicated but quite easy.

I'd go for a Spiderbox 7000/9000HD if you want a good linux box that you don't need to load in softcams etc, as soon as you take it out the box and set it up it will work when connected to the " broadband " side of things.

On the other hand a dm800HD, They are great and have a LOAD of different images to change the look / functionality of the box, Depends what floats your boat!

The spiderbox comes between ?140 - ?200 as does the dm800HD, Depending on where you shop.

                          Good luck, Regards.

Could have started by introducing yourself in the " introduce yourself " section and been a wee bit more politer when thread jacking someone like that!
