    Best box to get

Hi guys thinking of getting a sat box but unsure which to get was thinking of a technomate 5402 hd box.I only want to spend around the 150 ish mark.I already know someone who is cs so will join that.Your help in which box to get and what software i wll need is much appreciated. Also i need to have a box capable of recording liked the look of the tm 5402 as you can record 3 programs at the same time.

I doubt that , especially if they are on different transponders

a twin tuner box is required to record 2 different transponders

so this 3 recordings at once claim sounds far fetched to me , and may only be possible if 2 or 3 channels are on the exact same transponder

What's the Blade 7000 Combo like? I have DM800 and it's great, but wouldn't mind the blade as it would get rid of one of the boxes under the tv. Where can I get one as well?

Just a quick question. Why are there such great price differences for the DM800SE?

I see some sold for no less than ?170/180 with some costing ?429 (falconsat).

Aside from second-hand dreamboxes, are there any HD models below ?150?

I've yet to get a Blade but if you do get one (assuming you're dead set on not spending above ?150), they're fairly easy to set up from what I understand.

Upon plugging the Blade in to the TV, you put your patched firmware file on USB and then install that from the menu using the 9991 function via the remote. The patched firmware gives access to cline installation options.

It's as simple as that on a Blade. I suppose the downside is the relative lack of support for the Blade in comparison to the likes of the Dreambox or Vu+ box.

Having said that, if you can, you may want the DM800SE (for more support) or a Vu Duo (for dual tuner) if you can afford it (and I can't afford to spend a penny above ?149.99! )

I remain set on buying the Blade (hopefully!) thanks to the ease of use and the low price.

you wont be dissapointed with the blade if you are looking the best value for 140-150 its got to be the blade and when you say about lack of support for it. it does not need that much as its fool proof unlike dm800 with all its flashing with images which can be hard to understand for some

we are talking about watching tv and the blade will let you do it with ease 15 min from outa the box and you are away with a full hd setup channel updates from the online menu thru control no messing at all and if they done a twin tuner model it would be the dogs do da,s
