Where can I get a Blade combo from online and theoretically could it run a satellite c-line and a cable c-line at the same time?

You have been here long enough not to ask questions about that mate.

      Andy.

I'm not asking where to get Andy, I was just asking if in theory it could be done. Thought I'd be on the right side of the line with it

If it's a single tuner receiver then at best you can either record the channel you are watching or another channel if it happens to be on the same transponder (and with so many transponders chances of this happening are unlikely).

There's a little bit to much made of the recording one channel while watching another on the likes of the BM7000S and Technomate TM-5402 - Yes they can but as I've said they need to be on the same transponder - A genuine twin tuner receiver is the only real answer to recording one channel while watching another.

The Technomate TM-5402 and the Blade BM7000S are essentially the same receiver, the BM7000S is probably the better looking of the two where as the TM-5402 has a couple of hardware extras (built in RF out and fan - which can be turned on or off). The Technomate is also generally ?10 cheaper but the BM7000S is still massively popular and does look nicer to look at!

One other thing which to some maybe important is the free XXX video streaming they both offer, if you use third party firmware on the BM7000S then the XXX video stream is there but it's not removable from the menu which means anyone accessing the menu can access the XXX video stream - Not ideal. On the Technomate TM-5402 you get the same XXX video stream but it can be activated and de-activated from the menu by the way of a 4 digit code so in other words is can be hidden if you like. It's only a small but to some important difference.

Those are the main differences though otherwise they are bascially exactly the same receiver and support the same features, they can even use the same channel lists.
