HELP! XTREND ET-9200 OR VU+ ULTIMO?

Bro, do you know if the VU Ultimo will do 1080p playback of eg an .mkv file using the autoresolution plugin?

I would have thought so seeing as it has the same broadcom chipset as the VU+ Uno, CT 9000,9200, and they all have 1080p playback via the autoresolution plugin.

Purchased the Xtrend ET9200 and received it yesterday. Have to say it is a fantastic receiver, runs like a dream. Remote is very responsive, it looks great, PiP works great. Waiting on my HDD being delivered so cant comment on timeshift, recording etc just yet.

I am using the latest ViX image on it and what a excellent image it is. Normally when I get a new Enigma receiver I have to go through loads of images before finding the right one. First image I tried on this receiver and have not tried any other, dont plan to as it works so well, also I normally install Cool TV Guide didnt need to as ViX epg is similar but much more stable.

thats what i don;t like about the dm 800 clones the remote is not responsive compared to my other boxes(dont know if the orginal dm is better or the same)

Hi Potrobber...i am only selling my technomate because i watch a lot of the foreign channels and it would be nice to have the greek epg. apart from that its the best receiver i've ever owned and the only1 with internet radio, adult clips 'gift' and you tube that is non linux ive enjoyed using. i'm going to advertise at ?290 plus postage...rubberduck/potrobber i really would like to know your thoughts on which you would go for out of the et9200 or the ultimo due to be released? as i said i'm looking for the best HD and SD picture quality and the best images/epg's available and without any lip synch issues like some machines have had out there...

tell you the truth any enigma2 based box will be better then any closed source box, all vu , et, dreambox are linux enigma based

the ultimo would be my choice,don't know if i would pay that kind of money for a clone, when you can get a nice original for 20 quid more
