what protek model do you have?

Just upgraded my dish from a 13/19 monoblock to a system with a motorised dish with single LNB.

My installer set the Motorised System option to USALS, and amended the long/lat figurers.

Unfortunately, I don't know how to scan for channels on, say, 16 or 23.5, and only have what I had before on 13 and 19. Can anyone help get me started?

your installer has not done a very good job has he you should be picking everything available up,
if you put in dickb,s channel list in and you still cannot pick the other sats up then you should call your installer back to finish the job off.

yeah just load patch and list as normal,theres a couple more here you might like to try.

Thanks... I have been crazy noy knowing what to do ...I hope it helps, the original version was 2.0 for the protek 9760, I got the BorisT, but nothing changed... I will try tonight again...

yeah boris firmware v 17 is the latest
but those channel lists I posted earlier are a bit out of date
so heres some later ones 629 the 4 sat list is right uptodate and the one I use there is still a lot of rubbish on it but the favorites may be useful and the transponders are right(at the moment)
the 616 file is for motorised and not quite upto date as I dont use a motor on the protek(theres more than enough on 4 sats)
the 4 sats are 13E,16E,19E & 23.5E
if you are using a motor check your co-ordinates after loading a channel list(you can use the 4 sat list with a motor if you want)

Bougeuts gone

I ve tryied various firmwares and i still dont see any bougeuts.
Protek is brand new and it shows the normal channels mostly if i unplug/plug the satelite cable!

Any expert with solution? Would be great.

bouqet missing on protek box

it was originally there and now has dissapeared any ideas?

just checked mine again as it was off this morning but back now,does your box have an ip addy if not it may want a reboot to connect for bouquet to update

also how often do you have to update firmware ,

and finally how reliable and what packages is this box clearing .


the reason i ask is i got one a few years ago and they stopped suporting it ..
