Blad BM7000s Rare Standby Problem... Help ?

    You are right mate, it is one of the problems on these units but in most cases just changing the PSU DOES NOT fix this.

    A customer got sent one to try out but it failed anyway and in the end the receiver had to be sent back.
    So folks, don't take this as a 'Fix', just something to try.

    I think I'll end up sending it back... if I get time tomorrow I'll try the RS232 out plus other mentioned methods and see what's what.

      glad you made the right choice as i said send it back its got a warrenty for faults and you should get a replacment unit not a repaired one

      there has been a few with this fault now but i dont thinks its widespread

        Hi guys,

        Same issue with the box, no boot just a flashing red light. No idea what firmware was loaded on to the blade, but it just randomly went dead.

        The 'hold down menu button reset' trick does not allow me to boot in to the Special Menu to re-flash firmware.

        Any ideas with what i can do with this door stop now?

          Try contacting the seller - they may be willing to offer a replacement or offer to replace the PSU.

          BTW: Although I see you don't know what firmware your box was on, do you mind me asking roughly when you purchased your box? (The idea being the more recent your box, the more recent your firmware)
