    what about these -

    astra 4a 4.8e
    eutelatsat 16.0e
    hotbird 9 13.0e
    nilesat 101 7.0 w

looking for all 3pm epl channels

For 4.8 and i presume you mean Viasat for reliable reception and to allow for some rain fade margin you will need at least a 1m, I have picked this up on 80cm but in heavy rainfall and especially here in the UK a 1m is advisable.

16e you can pick up on a 60cm and 13e all you need is an old sky dish but remember to factor in for rain fade margin.

7w not a chance in daylight your looking at a 2.4m + dish size for reliable daytime viewing, At night the Horizontal TP's will just about become visible on a 1m+ dish but obviously no good for your 3pm's.

Conclusion : Get a 1m minimum with an Inverto Black Ultra

Forget about Nilesat on an 80cm you will need the 1m and above, The triax 1.1m is a very good dish but also very heavy at the same time, It really is pushing any diseqc motor hanging one of these on it.

If you can source the Gibertini 1m Aluminium dish do so its slightly dearer but is half the weight so not as much strain on the motor.

you will know if he did a good job when you get heavy rainfall... you can align a motorised dish this way but for the weaker, out of footprint birds you really need a meter/spectrum analyser to peak the signal imho. regards mdt
